We are excited to announce even MORE new enhancements to our (fluff)Friends app. We have received feedback and are working hard to make the (fluff) friends experience better for all of you.
NEW enhancements that are now LIVE:
- “Recent Petters” is now shown first when entering your (fluff)Book
- The ‘Recent’ Section in your (fluff)Book is taller
- Easier Access to the “Storage Center” by adding a link next to “Visit (fluff)Editor” link
- Fixed page information at the bottom of “Shop” pages
- Exchanging money or gold will now return you to Gold (fluff)Scriptions page
- Now it is easier to find the Pro Race Shop: added a “Pro Race Shop” to the Results Page in (fluff)Racing
- Shop Limit Increased: Now purchase up to 999 items at once!
- New: Gift Notification E-mail: When gifting items to users there is an email sent to the receiver (for this to work the user must ensure email permission for the application is activated)
- Various Internet Explorer 7 bugs

Is somebody there?, is someone listen?
the wishlist is a very important issue for fluff, after the new UI fiasco we can’t read the note attached to every wish, now we can’t see the wishlist at all, of course we can click click click all around.
We need real changes
- the old UI let us know what we gift, before we sent the gift, a simple clear confirmation “Success: You have given a Gift to —- and you’ve fulfilled their wish!
Decoration: xx
Quantity: xx
Food: xx
Quantity: xx”, that was great, because everyday users made trades, enter in contests and raffles (if you have no idea about what I’m talking you can go and see the fluff friends forum), so we need a proof of our actions, so WE NEED the confirmation of the gifts sent back
- We need to buy more of 1 item each time, if we can do that in the old UI, why we can’t do this in the new one?, I buy a lot of things every day and it’s annoying hat to buy one by one, I have a friend who buy violets/poppies and sell them to get gold but we only can buy 99 at time every time, at least in the old UI she can bought 99 violets + 99 poppies each time
those are just some of the problems that we have and no one is listening. In internet simple is always better, please made a better UI, a interface made it for the users

It is nice that we can buy 999 of the -same- item all at once but I would much prefer to be able to buy -multiple different- items all at once. I want to be able to buy 50 crackers, 60 candy canes, 80 choco milk, etc, all in one shot, like we could before! Having to buy each and every item separately is time consuming, and to be honest rather annoying. Having to buy each item individually is a step down from what we had before.

6/2/2010 I like that I can see recent petters but will they ever be returned to the top of our fluff page with a visible wish list.
Also we can see the gifts now but still cannot return gifts and say thank you without going back to our home page and hitting recent gifts and then see all. Are there any plans for this change at all? Thank you.

It’s wonderful that you have expanded the tabs on our fluffbook to show more items, but can you make it so that the recent petters and the recent gifts are displayed at the same time? I’d like to see my recent gifts so that i know who gifted me and can return my thanks to them! And can you make the wishlist visible (like not in a tab) as well? I liked how you used to have everything shown without tabs. Right now there is still too much white space all around and could be filled with more visible stuff rather than hiding them in tabs.
Also, can you please make the orange tabs found at the top of each page a drop down option so that i can get to the place I want faster and also know what is within that tab.

Thank you for putting recent petters back on everyone’s pages – I was getting worried how Hunts would be workable without being able to navigate this way. Thanks so much for fixing.
Most of the other things I’d still like to see fixed have already been mentioned above, but I don’t think anyone’s mentioned one particular Wishlist issue – once you click “gift” – you can’t see that person’s wishlist anymore, and it’s hard for us sometimes to remember what someone would like once we get to the gifting page. Please can the wishlist be visible on the page while we’re selecting a gift from our inventory – it’d save having to go back and check. Though I’m sure you’re probably way ahead of me and are already working on it

Hooray! It was getting a little frustrating and I am glad to finally see some substantial changes plus a list of soon to come enhancements. The things that bugged me the most were no longer having gifting confirmation, recent petters not appearing, not being able to buy more than one type of item at a time and not being able to easily return a thank you visit when someone sends me a gift. I am glad to hear that all these have been addressed or are being addressed.
One other thing that I would like to see is the pet/feed/gift/race buttons a little higher on the fluffbook screen. I’ve asked before but I am not sure if what I said was understood. If you look at the images you can see what I mean.

Its a little annoying to scroll down each fluffbook page just to pet. I have to zoom out the page in order to pet more quickly but then I can’t read anything much on the page except the big buttons. A lot of people like to pet to earn munny and it really slows the process down having to scroll down the page to get to those buttons.
Anyway I’d like to say thanks for the changes so far and I’m feeling a little more hopeful that this game will become playable for me once again.

@Sara: Great suggestion! Thanks. It is now on our to-do list. Expect to see it in the next releases.
My suggestion is also to re-create the drop-down menus that once contained everything you needed to do in fluff in those few drop-downs. This for me, is vital if I am going to keep fluffing. 2nd – still curious about the future of the “special fluff” shop. It serves no purpose – can the items PLEASE go LE and close that shop altogether?
Also – is there anyway to do away with the “shop here” banner in the middle of our home page. The page is ever-cluttered and the banner is rather useless. The music notes? I don’t get it. The “top 3″? Kinda pointless because they will almost always be the newest items issued so please, please do away with the useless, page cluttering banner. Thank you.
Oh, oh, oh! I just saw the scrolling “new items” side-bar banner thing. I hadn’t noticed that it scrolled before. Now THAT would be useful on the homepage!
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve given up protesting. Too tired, wasn’t getting anywhere (just grumpy in real life) and I just want to enjoy fluff again.
There’s a bug with the new gifting email confirmation. This is what my email says:
“you gave your (fluff)Friend The Scarlet Pandernel 5 “(fluff)Ade” Foods.View all of your gifts now – check out the (fluff)friends Homepage!”
I’m pretty sure I can’t gift myself. The you is a hyperlink and when I click on it it takes me to my fluffbook. I thought it might have been because the gift was sent privately but this gift wasn’t.

@Margaret: 1) Drop downs: Yes, a drop-down menu is in the works an will be planned shortly. We will take your notes on the ’special fluff’ shop under consideration. 2) Banner: We are planning bigger things with that banner. Stay tuned.
@Eva: No, there is no way to cash out your munny or gold. But we do occasionally have fundraising events like our “Help Haiti” event earlier this year. Thanks!
There are pop-ups when petting, pop-ups when racing, pop-ups when shopping, and pop-ups when gifting. Will ALL of these pop-ups disappear in the near future?
My biggest peeves with the new UI are (in this order):
-Pop-ups
-Not being able to see recent petters, recent gifters, recent feeders, AND wishlists ALL at a glance on the fluff page. I do not mind seeing more recent petters, as it is now. However, having to click a tab to see other things is annoying. And the fact that they are so low on the page is undesirable too. They should be just under the petting button, for quick access. The less scrolling, the better!
-Gifting takes forever. Because my entire inventory loads before I can gift anything, it takes several minutes to gift one person. Please tell me something can and will be done to make that better.
-Not being able to buy more than one type of item in stores. (I see you are working on this.) I do like that you can now buy 999 of one item at one time.
-I do not like having to scroll within a “frame” to read a fluff wall. Is there some way to have this outside of the frames, where one would only need to page down to see everything on the page?
-We need racing stats! How many races do I have left?
-The colors, thankfully, do not give me headaches or bother my eyes. HOWEVER, I have friends who cannot see well and it hurts them. Therefore, they cannot fluff even if they want to. Please fix the colors so that they will be less harsh on sensitive eyes. It would be helpful and wanted by many to have no color directly touching the habitat. It takes away from the fluff art.
-Art- I understand you will be making it bigger. That will be a good change. Art is one of the reasons I love fluff.
-Seeing the wishlist when gifting would be most helpful.
You ask for patience. I ask for good communication. I believe, if we are better informed about what we can and cannot expect to see happen with the new UI, we will be more patient. I know this is true for me.
Also, if there is a way to make it so decofood tickets can be traded for more than one thing at a time, that would be great. Right now, you can only get one of each item at a time.
And Melissa, you can’t forget the pop-up when you go to fluff the first time each day – I don’t care if I don’t get the extra munny – please get rid of that pop up too!
These requests were mostly all functioning well under the old UI – I don’t mean to beat a dead horse but it seems to me it would be a WHOLE lot less work to roll back and make improvements from the old UI. Just saying.
An interesting question came up in one of the protest groups – “is SGN aware of how the users feel and what kinds of numbers they are looking at – the number of subscriptions lost, the number of users lost, the dollar change in gold revenue. Is SGN acknowledging that there is a serious problem in fluffland? You can make all sorts of enhancements to (fluff) but how do you “enhance” your way back to that sense of community that was demolished the day the new UI was unveiled”. If anyone is able to directly answer these questions, either here or to my email address, so I can provide an answer to the group – that would be most appreciated.
Margaret, that one pop-up doesn’t bother me. Only b/c it’s once a day. I can deal with little inconveniences, but the other pop-ups frustrate me so much that I’d rather just not play fluff, than put up with them. Same with all the clicking and scrolling involved now. I would love to know if those things are here to stay.

@Margaret We are acknowledging that there are some unhappy users and features that need work. We are working continuously with the (fluff) community to tailor our enhancements so that (fluff) friends becomes enjoyable for all once again. While it’s true that the popups can be turned off temporarily, but because of the lack of information it contains, it’s of no use when it’s turn off. So please get rid of them entirely, not half way.
@Mary there are also those players who prefer to have pop-ups. In order to accommodate everyone we have it so they can be turned off temporarily. Thanks
So, does your response to Mary mean that the pop-ups are here to stay? I was fully aware that they can now be turned off temporarily. But unless they can be turned off forever, I’m not interested in playing this game any longer.

Thats nice. I hope the colour choice will be for the whole of the application, not just our fluff book? Because, once you leave your fluff book (which most people spend more time visiting other fluff books, shops, racing, etc)- the overall colour scheme was still there. The vote conducted on the forum was for “the overall colour scheme” but now we being told we’ll be able to choose a variety of colours *for our fluff book*.
Also, I think the biggest thing that makes the whole thing look so *loud*, is the bunch of different coloured fluffs on the top banner. With all the other colours- the teal & orange, and if someone has chosen pink for their fluff book, its all a bit too much. Is there any plan to change this logo on the banner? I know when I cover that bit up the new UI doesn’t look quite as bad.
The colour of the new UI makes it really hard to continue to play. Can it please be changed sooner rather than later – it literally makes my head hurt and I can’t really continue to play a game that gives me headaches. I know I am not alone in this problem.
Hi, I’ve already given my feedback many times on the (fluff)Forum, just wanted to add one more thing:
There are currently two “Activities” tabs. One is called ‘Activites’, it’s orange (main menu) and leads to the racing, swap-a-roo and the well, the other is called ‘Recent Activities’, it’s in blue, shows up on the fluffbook page and leads to recent petters, gifts and feedings.
I often want to visit ‘Recent Activities’, but end up clicking on ‘Activities’ instead and then I have to click two more times to get where I want. I think it would be far less confusing if one of the tabs were renamed (for example ‘Activities’ to ‘Mini Games’ or whatever). Just so there’d be less confusion what can be found where. Thanks.

I love the new musical decos. Is there going to be a munny habitat too? And more intruments from the rest of the orchestra? Woodwind, brass and percussion?

Thank you for your answer. Will the design of the banner be changed as well? That is my biggest issue- with the fluff friends logo & the bunch of fluffs, I think the banner is way to busy, *no matter what colour it is*. I would like to see the group of fluffs gone, and the banner made smaller.
@Marie: We will not be changing the banner at the moment, but will be offering some variation in the future.
Seems to me that there are a lot of people carping about very small issues. Over all the changes you have implemented have been very positive, and in some instances (like buying 999 items) a great improvement over the old. While I agree that it was not a good choice to jump from a format that most people were comfortable with, to something so different and radical, you have been very proactive about trying to sooth rufffled feathers, and trying to make improvements (that likely couldn’t have been made under the old format).
I do have one concern today, though, and that is that the petting and feeding of friend’s fluffs is not working today. I checked the forum and couldn’t find any mention of this so, can you please look into this.
Thanks and keep trying, even though it may prove pointless in some areas.
One more quick note. Jolie Mae had a suggestion about being able to buy multiple food types , not just multiple foods, at once. Great idea, but no response from you. Is this a possibility?

@Jann we were concerned that a lot of people weren’t able to pet and feed their (fluff) too! So we checked with Facebook and found this out: (posted earlier on our Facebook fan page) :

Feeding is currently broken. They have acknowledge it

We’re very happy that we now have a “pay for everything on this page” button so we can now buy pears, pizza, flufftini and fries (or whatever else) This is a huge improvement, thank you!
