Hello fellow (fluff)sters! There have been rumors circling that (fluff)friends is shutting down. This is absolutely NOT TRUE. (fluff)Friends is NOT SHUTTING DOWN. (fluff)Friends IS NOT HAVING THE PLUG PULLED. (fluff)Friends is NOT GOING AWAY. We are working on the list of feedback items that have been provided by the users from the Help Link, Application Wall, Discussion Board, Twitter Account, (fluff)Friends Forum, SGN Blog, and yes, even from some of the protest groups to enhance the game, and have no plans to sunset (fluff)Friends. Thank you for all your feedback and continued patience.

Are you kidding me? Are you guys seriously patting yourselves on the back with these “enhancements”????? For crying out loud, listen to your users rather than the filtered feedback you get from Krystal!!!
I love the show all buttons in the shops but would have like to have recent petters back on the fluff page with no pop ups at all. Now after a few pets it says out of memory at line 31 and gets stuck. Thank you.
I don’t get it this:
- Hide Pop up temporarily when petting

how exactly work?
These “enhancements” are more failures. Until you totally get rid of all pop-ups 100% and put recent petters back on the main page where they can be easily seen (no scrolling and tab clicking involved), then you have not addressed the biggest problems.
I *was* a subscriber, until the unfriendly UI showed up. Before subscriptions were available, I spent loads of money on gold. Even with my $25 dollar subscription each month, I would buy extra gold each month. I didn’t mind supporting the application that I loved. But now, the love for fluff is fading fast.
Three weeks have passed since this UI was unleashed on us. The “fixes” aren’t fixes at all. We can’t get any real feedback from someone who can tell us if the functionality of this application will ever return. I just need to know if I need to cut my losses and delete the application now or should I hold out hope? I don’t want to hear “we are working on fixes.” I’d like to know exactly what fixes you are speaking of. Then, I can make my decision about fluff friends and stop living in limbo- unable to fluff, but hopeful that things will get better. Please give us answers.
SGN has a sick sense of humor and really need a course in customer service.

….AND CONSIDERING how long these took? NO ONE if IMPRESSED! Guess working with real professionals for 30 years spoiled me….I EXPECT IT FOR ALL PROFESSIONALS!
Is it possible to eliminate the popup altogether? Not xx minutes? Please, can there also be more information on the petting and feeding popup?
I mean the petting and feeding box, the one that replaces the popup temperarily.
i like that the pop up doesnt go away on its own now,but as long as the recent petters are on it i wouldnt want to hide it foe any minuts:)
i do love the shops as they are now with the quicklist and the show all! perfect:)
and love the gifting…but please get rid of the glitches so buttons show immidiately!
what i would like to see is that the topart gets made a bit larger on homepage,so its possible to really view it!
and also i would like to be able to see all the fluffbooks without scrolling…i rather have the scrolling on the wall:)
other than that i have grown to really enjoy this new UI:)
and really inever thought i would!
but really looking forward to see what colors we get to choose from as i believe it was sated earlier that also those not subscribing would get color choices?!
yea and not to forget…i would really love if we were able to also see our friends caption under their habitat on homepage!!!
and i would like to have unactive friens in the back …so i dont have to go trhough them to get to those that are active.
i liked how it before always were those who had most recent chanegd their habitat that came first on the friend’s list.
so if friends could have a better order of appearance it would be just perfect!!
Turning the pop-ups off for [i]10 minutes?[/i] Seriously?
Not exactly an improvement/ enhancement.
The show-all thing is similar the old UI, so no real improvement there either.
But at least it’s a big enough deal to deserve a blog post…at least someone is “thrilled” I guess.

5/20/10 To SGN: Today, for the first time I’m really being to enjoy the new UI. (I kept using it because I love Fluff, but it was very hard to use.) The fixes/improvements work for me, and I look forward to seeing more of them implemented! One thing, which is major issue for any regular User, can “see all” become the default setting in Recent Petters again?
If you are going to continue wasting time on enhancements instead of restoring the old UI, and releasing new deco’s instead of restoring the old UI (Grrrrr) then please, at the very least, make it so that when I click on the the items in the “news” section, have it linked to where the item is in the shop … I just spent 20 minutes looking for where the heck the instant lightning was. Grrrrrrr.
I must say I am utterly disappointed with new changes. Overall, the game is way to complicated to use – moving between friends, fact that I cannot gift friends by selecting them from home page so I have to press race first and go back to their page to see their full fluffbook, extra clicks needed to see gifts received and given…seriously…you think hiding a pop up for 10 minutes is urgent? You guys are
hemorrhaging paying customers by the minute and still stubborn after all of the losses you incured with this UI? Is it worth it?

@Pamela Thanks so much! We are happy you are enjoying the new UI. We are def implementing more changes so you can expect things like top art being bigger, pop ups being permanently gone, and other enhancements. Thanks again for all your support and patience!
@Kristel We’re really glad you are beginning to enjoy the new UI! We do have plans to make the top art bigger and to get rid of the pop ups (if a user wants to). Also, your suggestion to have “see all” become the default in recent petters again” is something that many other users are asking for as well and we are working on it! @ SGN – I cancelled my subscription a while ago and won’t be subscribing again until the new UI works in a manner I think is workable for me. So yes there is a possibility I may subscribe again. Can someone please respond to this? I, for one, do not want to sink money into an app that is just going to disappear.
Having heard the rumor, I have the same question as Linda. Is it true? Or false? With how much certainty? If it is true, do you really think users are going to put more money into a sinking ship, with only a possibility to salvage the application? I think it’s highly unlikely.
With that said, I sure hope the rumor is false! I love (fluff)Friends, even with the new UI! There is certainly room for improvement but I love the application, and the users regardless. I would be very upset if (fluff) came to an end…

Can we pretty pretty pretty please get rid of the pop-ups? I hate having to click to get rid of the box that pops up after I make a purchase. AND, please please please make it so we can buy multiple items at once – this having to buy each item separately in a pain in the butt, ESPECIALLY when going to stock up on food! 99 apples, click to buy, click to get rid of the box, 99 milkshakes, click to buy, click to get rid of the box, 99 mojitos, click to buy, click to get rid of the box.
I have been very vocal about my opposition to this new UI and I tried really hard to be respectful about it but found myself getting angrier and angrier with the lack of answers. So I would like to respectfully ask a question point blank and am hoping for a sincere and thorough answer. It has been stated that there is no chance of returning the previous UI. Can someone (from SGN only) please explain why not.
@Margaret The new UI is a stepping stone in the right direction. Thank you for being vocal–we are analyzing all received feedback from all our users and are making a more user friendly application for everyone. We respectfully ask for patience as there are a lot of enhancements that we wish to make–both from the users’ perspective and from the company’s as a whole. Thanks again.
Why is it taking so long? Are you intending on releasing all new fixes at once? Or are you testing to make sure there are no more (fluff)ups? I don’t understand why only minimal changes have been made in all this time.
The colours for example. Seriously how long does it take to change the colour? Ok it was mentioned its not just a code change but an image file. It still doesn’t take weeks to go into photoshop or whatever, change a few colours on an image and upload that image again does it? Admittedly I may have oversimplified that process but it shouldn’t take professionals weeks to make a change as simple as a colour change. Is there a team working on this or is this the same as the customer service specialist; one overworked person doing way too much?
If playfish and zynga can release numerous new items weekly plus make fixes within 24 hours at the most then I can’t understand why SGN can’t do the same.
I’m sorry but I am getting tired of listening to “be patient”. Exactly how much longer are we going to have to be patient for?

It would be appreciated if the “Recent Feedings” and “Recent Gifts” tabs via the (fluff)Book tab included the hyperlinks of the appropriate gifters/feeders, instead of the current hover-over “bubble” without links. I believe this change will provide individuals with more access to various (fluff)Books, instead of just through the “Recent Petters” tab. If this is already mentioned, awesome – I’ll be waiting patiently for the change. If not, please consider this change. Keep up the great work, and thank you for your time!

Is the recent petters ever going to be returned to the top right with the wishlist visible again or will scrolling down always be necessary. Thank you
Thank you for the return of the recent petters on our wall, would like to be able to access my gifters list the same way, with gifters names linking back to their pages, as it makes it more immediate, and less of a hassle to thank them and pet and or gift in return. I still have two little bug a boos that I would like to see addressed, and they have to do with buying food….please more than 99 items, and with both food and gifts, being able to purchase more than one item at a time…..PLEASE. These are things that make the game much more user friendly. I am also very pleased to see this response as far as feed back from you is concerned. It does prove to me that you are listening, and that maybe it all just takes a little time to implement changes. Thanks so much from me and my fluff friend…Pegaspot.

The Shop Limit has been increased from 99 to 999 as of yesterday. We are also working on improving the Shop so everyone can buy more than one item at a time. Look for this in the next update! Now to answer your question about accessing gifters–we are working on that too! Expect to see this implemented in the next update as well!
Thank you so much for the prompt response. I am impressed at the progress you are making to restore the ease of usage for all of us crazy fluffers. LOL. I have thought of one more little (probably not that little for you) fix you could institute. Would you be able to make it so that we can feed more than 20 items at a time. I like to keep my speed at a certain level, and if I should go away for a holiday or weekend, it takes a fair amount of time to raise the speed level again when it is set at a maximum of 20. Could it be made so that we can plug in our own level of feeding? Just a thought. Have a wonderful day, and keep up the good work.
Came across another little glitch. What is with the wish list. It gets stuck loading the mini’s and won’t change to mega’s or any other options
@Jann We will take you idea regarding feeding under consideration and see how that affects the game. Regarding the glitch you mentioned with the wish list: it has been sent to QA and we are working on finding a solution to the problem. Stay posted for updates.
